I
have been owned by Toy Fox Terriers since 1967 when my mother brought home
our first family pet. I was fortunate enough to have those same UKC lines
until 2 years ago when I lost the last one at age 16 ½. Having been
involved with breeding and showing dogs (Great Pyrenees) since 1996, I was
very excited to hear that TFTs had been accepted into the AKC. Once that
happened, I started my search for an AKC TFT and was lucky enough to find
Westgate TFTs. From there my adventures with the American Toy Fox Terrier
Club started.
I
served as the National Rescue Chairperson for 2006, but resigned that
position to enable someone to take over who has more time to devote to the
process. I am also currently the Judges Selection Committee Chairperson.
I
have been the Membership Chairperson for the ATFTC for 2007. I am running
for the same position for 2008 as I feel it is important to have
continuity in the ATFTC processes. This is a job that I believe in and
feel I have done well.
As
for my affiliations and offices, I have been a member of the ATFTC since
2004. I am also a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America, the
AZPyrs Regional Club, the Enchantment Great Pryenees Club, and I am a
co-founder of Four Corners Small Breed Rescue. I am also a founding
member of the Rocky Mountain Toy Fox Terrier Club. I have been a member
of the Four Corners Llama and Alpaca Association for many years and have
served as President of this association for 3 terms.
I look forward to continuing my support of this National Club and its
membership
