Show Committee
A Show Chairman will be selected who
in turn will develop committee’s capable of working to ensure the
ATFTC’s shows are conducted in accordance with AKC rules and
regulations. The Show Chairman will follow the approved Show Chairman’s
Manual as provided by the American Kennel Club for expected
responsibilities.
If the show is
being held in a cluster situation, the Chair person will work with the
coordinator of the cluster to be sure the needs of the ATFTC are
sufficient to hold a quality show.
All paper work
and applications will be sent to the Board for review prior to being
sent to the American Kennel Club. No contracts will be signed
without Board review and approval. Various deadlines must be met and
therefore these materials should reach the Board for approval, in time
to be returned and forwarded to the appropriate receiver. It will be the
chairperson’s responsibility to make sure deadlines are met for
submitting paper work to the AKC.
Upon completion of
the Premium List, it will be sent to the Board for review. The Board
will approve it or make suggestions for needed changes, and return it
allowing deadlines to be met.
Committees will be
put in place to cover all functions/activities of the show.
A proposed budget
will be submitted to the board each year in time to allow for financial
obligations to be met. As monies are collected by the committees,
receipts should be given for all money received with duplicate
receipts, along with the monies sent promptly to the Treasurer for
depositing.
Within 30 days
after the shows are over, a show report will be sent to the Board that
will include all finances, expenditures and income. With this report it
should include recommendations for the following year.
