For the members information, the Secretary was NOT in the room where the ballots were counted, and the gossip would like you to believe.  At the  last election, the Secretary had the results of who voted for whom, which violated the members confidentiality and voting rights. Your voting confidentiality was protected in this election.

The inspectors were given the following directions, by the board for counting and certifying the ballots.

THE MARQUISVILLE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN’S GUILD
American Toy Fox Terrier Club, Inc.

This professional group has been selected by the ATFTC Board of Directors to:
  1. Receive the sealed pre addressed, unopened, return ballots from the ATFTC Secretary, Sharon Pothast:
  2. The ballots will be checked with the current paid membership list as provided by the Secretary.
  3. All ballots received without signatures on the return envelope flap will be determined invalid, and will not be further considered.  Ballot must be in the ballot envelope.
  4. After all ballots are declared valid, the Guild will then proceed to open each sealed ballot envelope.
  5. A form will be provided to place the results on for tally purposes.
  6. Each ballot will be read by one member, one member will write the tally mark under the correct candidates name, and the other member will verify the tally in the correct candidates column.
  7. After all ballots have been recorded, each member will tally each column and if all have the same column figure, the total will then be listed for that column.
  8. The office of, President will be so elected whomever receives the largest number of votes between the two candidates.
  9. The Board members elected will be the candidates receiving the most votes of the five candidates.
  10. The guild will recount the ballots and rework the process in case of a tie.   Should a second tie occur, the candidates will be re submitted to the membership for a run off.
  11. The results will be notarized and the official results will be presented to the Secretary.
Please note, the ballots do not require a postmark, only that they are received by the Secretary by November 15th.
