Blink Wins AKC National Championship - 8" Class
Blink and I had a great weekend at the AKC Agility Nationals in Tulsa Ok March 27th and 28th. Blink is a very fast little dog and qualifying four runs in a row is difficult for us, but we pulled it off. We got 4th place in our first run, 3rd in our 2nd, and 2nd in our third run which put us in 2nd place over all.
The top 7% of each height class goes on to the finals, so for the eight inch class that came to a total of 6 dogs, plus one dog that won the challenger's round. In the final round, Blink had a clean (perfect) run and the fastest time, winning the 8" height division.
I understand that this is the first time a Toy Fox Terrier has won the Nationals and I am very proud of my little guy. Toy Fox Terriers make GREAT agility dogs. Blink's 1/2 sister Cookie already has her MACH and she is just over two years old. In my opinion TFTs are energetic, focused, and very smart. I would recommend this breed to anyone.
